Long ago, in the norther areas of Europe, lands were ruled by chaos and war. Britain was continually battling itself as village lords sought to become king. Amidst the lawlessness of the land, a woman, clothed in gold and white, came from the seas baring a sword. The sword, she said, was named Excalibur and belonged to the true king of Britain. She placed it in an enchanted stone and told the people that whoever should pull the sword from the stone would be king of Britain.

Men from every village came to the stone, hoping it would be their destiny to become king. Strong men were not able to pull out the sword with their strength. Intelligent men were not able to possess the sword through their witty knowledge. Fifteen years passed; the land was still riddled with disorder and none had been able to take the sword from its place. But when a young man named Arthur - who was not characterized by strength or knowledge, but by kindness - approached the sword and gripped the hilt with both hands, he was able to effortlessly pull the sword from the stone. In awe and amazement all bowed. Though some questioned if Arthur was fit to rule all of Britain, all hailed him as their king.

Merlin, a powerful wizard from beyond the sea, came to Arthur seemingly moments after he was crowned king. He was a trusted man, though mysterious. With Merlin at his side for advice and a heart for the people, King Arthur began to build Britain up to be a just and mighty nation. He built a majesty castle where the enchanted stone was and named it Camelot. In a large, round room was set a large, round table which was surrounded by sixteen chairs. Around this table, sixteen knights and Arthur himself would sit in equality as a wise council, given the duty of governing and protecting Britain. A time of peace and security spread over the country and all trusted the king's wisdom.

But there was one named Mordred, a friend of Arthur and a knight of the round table, who was not as loyal as assumed. He thought Britain was destined to be greater; to conquer all the known world and rule the earth. Arthur refused, believing that Britain had no reason to gain new lands through bloodshed when they could live in peace. Mordred was furious, openly defying the king and making it known that he planned to take the throne. In his kindness, Arthur merely banished Mordred from Camelot, stripping him of his title, though many of the knights called for his death. Britain's unity began to tear apart at the seams. In the north, Mordred began to make an army out of Sloansted's criminals. In Camelot, the people began to fear once again, losing their trust in Arthur.

Camelot must be kept united for Britain to survive and return to peace, for divided, the justice and liberty of the land will surely become broken as well.
